TAPAS UAV Drone: A Powerful Tool for Surveillance and Reconnaissance

TAPAS UAV Drone is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by India’s Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE). It is designed for surveillance and reconnaissance missions, and can also carry light weapons.

TAPAS UAV Drone has a maximum takeoff weight of 2,000 kilograms and a maximum endurance of 24 hours. It can fly at altitudes of up to 25,000 feet and has a maximum speed of 225 kilometers per hour. The UAV is equipped with a variety of sensors, including a surveillance radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) camera, and synthetic aperture radar (SAR).

TAPAS UAV Drone is the first indigenously developed MALE UAV in India. It is expected to be inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the near future.
